VMP - Research is a add-on software module that allows images and reports from the DocuTran software to be archived to a CD-R device for long term storage and retrieval. VMP - Research handles all the necessary functions required to create and retrieve DocuTran transaction information from CR-R.

VMP - Research is built around the IMR Alchemy Gold CD-R product. Alchemy Gold is recognized leader in CD-R software. By seamlessly integrating it with DocuTran we have provided our customers with an exceptional research to for greater productivity and customer service.

Description

VMP - Research allows organizations to store their transaction data on CD-R devices for long term storage and retrieval. This frees up file space on the DocuTran server and yet allows for ongoing research into transactions from previous shifts and days. Because all the relevant data captured from the checks and documents is used to create the index, it is very easy to find the document and transaction in question.

During the development of the capture application, documents that are to be archived are flagged via a set-up option. These flagged items will be automatically extracted and passed to the VMP-Research server. A simple menu choice item is added to the supervisors menu to begin the process. The archive process is envokable at the same time as the data extract application to ensure that all DocuTran processes and validations have been performed prior to creating the archive

Millions of images can be stored on low-cost CDs, then found in a flash with powerful query tools. More images can be added to the CD at any time. VMP-Research supports CD Recorders from Hewlett-Packard, JVC, Philips, Pioneer, Pinnacle Micro, Plasmon Data, Smart and Friendly, Sony, Turtle Beach, Yamaha, NSM and more.

The CD can be stored in a jukebox or tower on a LAN, or sent to another PC. Concurrent users can quickly retrieve and view images from their PC. Retrieval is done using a variety of methods:
