ARC
< Back
The proven DocuTran ARC feature automatically
converts eligible remittance payment checks into electronic
transactions, thereby reducing check handling costs, accelerating
access to funds, and accelerating the collection process on
returned checks. DocuTran ARC is running today in a Fortune
100 company and is the largest ARC processors in the world
currently converting more than 30 million checks per month.
DocuTran ARC evaluates each check according to user-defined
rules, to control check conversion by customer account, transaction
type, transaction contents, check type, issuing bank ACH eligibility
and even past check conversion history by checking account.
After all normal remittance processing steps are complete,
eligible checks are converted to ACH transactions. Converted
checks are out-sorted from the normal check clearing stream,
either in the initial pass, the encode pass or both. ACH balancing
reports provide the same positive reconciliation that DocuTran
provides for conventional check clearing.
The new DocuTran ARC feature integrates
the popular suite of ACH software products from US Dataworks,
Inc. (Amex: UDW) with Tangent’s DocuTran software and
with in-house developed solutions. DocuTran ARC integrates
these capabilities seamlessly with the DocuTran software,
enabling both new and existing DocuTran users to enjoy the
benefits of ARC check conversion.
Check21
DocuTran supports the deposit of payment checks via the new
Check21 legislation. With this license, a remittance processor
will be able to send their deposit to the institution of their
choice in one of two standard formats, XML or ANSI 9.37. All
relevant payment data can be passed to the receiving institution
along with the images captured from the transport on first
or second pass. Since there is no industry standard for the
exchange of data and image files between the remittance processor
and the bank, DocuTran will take advantage of the institutions
existing environment and industry standards such as secure
FTP and VPNs.
