AutoEncode®
< Back
AutoEncode is designed to automate the encoding and depositing
of check from any forms processing solution or other image
systems that deal with checks. AutoEncode will automatically
account for all checks processed through your image system,
encode the checks, and prepare the bank deposits with minimal
labor.
Common Environments where AutoEncode Is Used
- Tax processing systems
- Child support payment processing
- Fulfillment processing
- Bank and Savings and Loan back office encoding
Benefits
- Accounts for every check processed through your image system,
so checks in = checks out
- Checks are encoded with balanced and verified data from
your primary application
- Lower labor costs associated with handling and encoding
checks
- Lower bank fees with fewer errors and pre-encoded checks
- Fewer deposit errors
- Eliminates manual encoding checks and balancing of batches
- Greater financial control via system reports
- Automatically out sort any checks that are not going
to be deposited
- Your host system controls most aspects of the
encoding process by way of a simple ASCII text
file, nocustomization of AutoEncode is necessary
Components
A typical solution consists of AutoEncode software, an NCR
or Unisys check processing transport, a Windows XP PC, and
your existing network hub and network laser printer. For larger
sites a common file server is used to store the AutoEncode
Files
Implementation
AutoEncode is typically installed within 60 days of order.
The installation, testing and training is done in less than
a week. Tangent Systems will support you through the entire
process, including installation. We have direct relationships
with all the transport vendors to provide complete solutions
or can utilize most existing transports.
Capabilities
- Entry-level systems are designed to
process 500 to 1000 checks per day

20,000 checks per day on a single system
- High-volume systems can process up
